Dionne Ible is a mosaic artist who was first introduced to mosaic in 2002. She attended a 10-week Introduction to Mosaics course at the Working Mens College in London and there produced her first piece. She loved the course so much it inspired her to do more and to also find out if other people would be interested in her work.
Dionne’s company name “Qemamu” means creator or creation and is an Egyptian name so chosen because it describes exactly what mosaics is all about. Her works embrace her African culture that makes her pieces very unique and inspiring.
She runs mosaic art workshops for both children and adults and also works in schools, clubs, and community groups. She also exhibits at various art and craft venues.
Open for new and creative designs Dionne is always happy to deliver commissioned work.
She is a member of the British Association for Modern Mosaic (BAMM) who promote, encourage and support excellence in contemporary mosaic art and raise public awareness of modern mosaic art through exhibitions, publications, events and related educational activities.
