Promoting knowledge 2012

Each year Nottingham hosts a wide variety of events put on by cultural organisations and community groups, local broadcasters and community centres, clubs, museums and arts venues. Everything from African music to club nights, exhibitions and plays, concerts, dance, Gospel choirs and community events can be found in the city.

Black History Month is an opportunity for people and groups all over the country to promote knowledge of Black history and experience, share positive Black contributions to British society and enhance Black people’s awareness of their cultural heritage.
