The Black History Season (BHS) 2011

BHM in Leicester is two months of cultural and community activity that showcases the best of the African Caribbean community.

This year, rather than go with the traditional theme, we have decided to dedicate BHS to Gil Scott Heron, a leading contemporary figure in the world of music. At the heart of BHS will be the strength, integrity and talent across a diverse range of disciplines that reflect the richness and complexity of Black Britain.
